Our history
Generation one
A1 Tropicals started as a family hatchery running livebearer lines for regional distributors — guppies, platies and swordtails, bred for hardiness before looks.
Going direct
We cut out import brokers and built farm-direct relationships across Southeast Asia, South America and Florida, so pricing, grading and timing sit in our hands.
Today
A dedicated bio-security facility, purpose-built quarantine blocks and a wholesale-only model serving distributors who move real weekly volume.

Intake screening
Every incoming shipment is inspected, scraped and scoped on arrival. Suspect boxes are isolated before a single bag touches our main systems.
Isolated quarantine blocks
Quarantine runs on separate filtration, separate nets and colour-coded equipment. Nothing shared, nothing cross-contaminated.
Conditioning & purge
Stock is conditioned, treated where required and purged before packing so bags stay clean over long transit windows.
Pre-ship health hold
Fish are held and observed for feeding response and coloration before they are released to a wholesale order — no rush-throughs.
Minimizing DOA
Healthy, vibrant stock that survives the trip.
Low DOA isn't luck — it's purge times, water chemistry matched to your region, oxygen ratios calculated per species and box, insulation gauged to the lane and seasonal heat or cold packs on every shipment.
